Web Woman was a cartoon by Filmation that was part of the Tarzan and the Super Seven for CBS on Saturday mornings. Her costume design was very distinct and pretty cool looking. This particular episode was titled “Send in the Clones”. Web Woman arrives at the castle of Dr. Frankenstein and his assistant Alexandria investigating duplicates/clones. Frankenstein takes her downstairs in his lab and gasses her unconscious. The sleeping gas also has amnesia gas mixed in for good measure so Web Woman forgets who she is when she wakes up. Frankenstein and Alexandria remove her costume and put her into a maid’s costume (done off-camera). When Web Woman wakes up, she’s told that she’s Frankenstein’s maid and Frankenstein even yells at her for “sleeping on the job” (you can’t make this stuff up!). Eventually, Web Woman’s sidekick spinner saves the day by reminding Web Woman who she really is and they defeat Frankenstein, Alexandria and the doppelganger Web Woman.
