Spider-man and His Amazing Friends

The Crime of All Centuries

Firestar was a total fox in her skintight yellow spandex bodysuit and red gloves and boots.  Animators knew how to draw the female figure back in the early eighties (Check out those T&A shots attached with this post).  Anyway, Kraven totally owns Firestar’s tight ass in this episode as he knocks her out multiple times and kidnaps her for some lame plot involving dinosaurs.  But the plot isn’t the reason to watch this episode, there are two awesome “freezing gas” KO’s of Firestar by Kraven (technically there are three, but I don’t really count the last one).  Both times she’s supremely confident that she will best Kraven, but alas that’s not the case as Kraven is well prepared and only toying with her.  There are also two magnificent carries.  The first one is an over the shoulder carry where Kraven plucks the unconscious Firestar from the sky after he knocks her out with a heat seeking boomerang with freezing gas and the second is a cradle carry where he knocks her out with a freezing spray after she just woke up from the previous knockout.

Honorable Mention: Quest of the Red Skull

There was also a great KO of Firestar by the Red Skull in the episode “Quest of the Red Skull” in where he gasses her and rolls her over with his foot while she’s out.  Another classic, but if I had to pick one episode of this series, the Kraven episode wins.
